The simple technique to build every day unstoppable consistency.

The SpoonFed Ideas Newsletter

Every Sunday, I promise to give you three things.

  • One idea.
  • One action.
  • One update.

All to supercharge your life and push you to get what you want out of the short time you have here.

one idea.

In the start-up world, there’s a concept called the minimum viable product (MVP). Resources are limited and so, your job isn’t to create the fanciest, most advanced version of your product possible, it’s to create the opposite - the bare minimum solution that gets the problem solved. Your job is to figure out that solution, find out if this thing works and to get it out there as soon as possible. Same idea applies to you as a person.

Think of yourself as that product. Each day, you are born again. What does the minimal viable product look like for yourself? I call this concept the minimum viable day.

Each day is broken down into 4 quarters.

  • Quarter 1 = early morning
  • Quarter 2 = late morning
  • Quarter 3 = afternoon
  • Quarter 4 = evening

5 pushups is my quarter 1 MVP.

5-minutes of writing is my quarter 2 MVP.

5-minutes of being outside is my quarter 3 MVP.

Learning or deepening my understanding of one thing is my quarter 4 MVP.

one action.

The above example doesn’t have to be your MVPs. Figure out what your MVP is and do it.

No matter how funky you feel, point is this - you always accomplish your MVP. Your to-do list? Whatever. Not feeling a deep work session today? No problem. But your MVP? Non-negotiable. Its sole purpose is to be the bare minimum for every day.

Keep in mind the MVP should be a pretty low-bar. That’s the point of this technique. Overdoing it, or wanting your product (i.e you) to be “perfect” before you launch is the quickest way to burnout, to failure, to quitting… to not even getting started.

Instead, learn how to be nimble. Get into the habit of getting yourself out there as quickly as possible even when you don’t think you’re ready. Iterate and grow. Tomorrow is always another day to try again. Momentum beats perfection always. Hit that MVP each day and you’re golden. It’s the gateway drug to "doing" and that’s really all you need.

one update.

I am deep in the process of creating the memory palace course. Not sure how many of you saw my video on how to memorize anything instantly but long story short, to get ready for medical school, I spent 2-years religiously studying the techniques memory champions use to win competitions. I’m talking insane mental horsepower - achieving mind-bending mental gymnastics like remembering the order of 1000 poker cards in just minutes. Anyway, I just finished the first few lessons and wow, I’m excited to show you guys what this is all about. So much more to do and to say. Anyway, if you’re interested, fill out this form and it will put you on the waitlist.
